Phespirit goes to Fuerteventura
Corralejo March 2001
'TWIXT THE THIGHS OF ART
At the Centro de Arte Canario in La Oliva, Phespirit stands beneath a representation of the mythical giant of Fuerteventura who apparently had his hair and genitals ripped off by a particularly strong wind one day.
He now points to the source of that wind.
(what was his name??)
SCORCHED EARTH
These green fields just outside Antigua are quite unusual for Fuerteventura.
Barren mountains, rolling sand dunes and dusty, rocky plains in between are typical.
Quite beautiful in its way, no?
RESERVOIR DREGS
This brown field of silt is the local reservoir west of Vega del Rio de Palmas.
By all accounts they have not had much rain these last ten years.
