BALCONY SCENE I - THE GOOD

The rebuilt Frauenkirche incorporates a lift, a spiralling ramp and a series of stairways, which lead visitors up to a circular platform outside the dome. The views are good.

Heading back down, there are interior views such as this from the base of the dome.

BALCONY SCENE II - THE BAD

This bad-looking bird can be found perched high upon the side of Meißen Cathedral.

It is one of eight varied ornamental gargoyle figures on the tower Phespirit ascended.

BALCONY SCENE III - THE UGLY

Here is Phespirit, standing at the top of the Hausmannsturm. The tower forms a part of the Residenzschloss palace in Dresden.

Behind him is the Semper Opera House by the River Elbe.
