Phespirit goes to Serbia

TWO NOBLE RIVERS

Phespirit had walked alongside the Danube in Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest; he had walked alongside the Sava in Ljubljana and hopes to do so in Zagreb some day.

The two rivers become one in Belgrade (the Sava empties into the Danube), just behind Phespirit's head.

ONE NOBLE MIND

Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) is considered one of the greatest inventors of all time.

This golden sphere occupies the third room of the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade. It is not one of his inventions, however .....

It is the urn that contains his ashes.

NO NOBLE CAUSE

СТОП НАТО ФАШИЗМУ
("STOP NATO FASCISM")

So says the sign. The strategists at NATO thought they would end war in the Balkans by bombing civilian areas of Belgrade. The legacy of their short-term solution is a new undying bitterness. Will they never learn?
