THROUGH THE ROUND WINDOW

Warsaw's reconstructed Old Town is by far its most attractive feature.

Here is a glimpse of it through a porthole in its northern gate - the Barbican.

A FRAGMENT .....

..... remains of the Warsaw Ghetto wall. It's not much, but it carries great power.

Phespirit crept through the security door at the courtyard of ulice Sienna 55, where the wall is hidden away. He expected simply to take a swift look and a few pictures, but he was surprised to find himself feeling moved by something so superficially mundane.
