It takes roughly an hour to walk across the Pared Isthmus between the east and west coasts of Fuerteventura.

VILLA WINTER

In isolation to the northeast of Cofete is the enigmatic, eerie, run-down Villa Winter.

Since its construction by German engineer Gustav Winter in the 1940s it has been the subject of conspiracy theories ranging from it serving as a secret U-boat base to a safe house for Nazis escaping to America.
